Bus Connect Contact

Talk to us about paid inbound.

Bus Connect has not been released yet, so the useful conversation right now is about what your deployment would need: customer identification and tax handling at the point of sale, live payment settlement, how you want to work your inbox, how long you keep what people send you, and the terms you want to advertise to those paying to reach you.

Self-hosting and licensing

The intent is that you run your own instance and are your own service provider, keeping your own initiation fees and your own operational and legal responsibility. The software is source-available under the Functional Source License with a later conversion to a permissive license; the exact terms travel with the source. Whether today's terms permit a given competing commercial use is worth confirming with us before you build on it.

Before you deploy publicly

Charging for first contact has consequences beyond code. Selling a digital service means knowing whether your buyer is a business or a consumer, where they are, how to send them a receipt, and how long you keep what they sent you. The current build establishes that a payment settled, so identifying the customer well enough to tax, invoice, and record the sale is work to settle before you go public.

Have that conversation with us early, and bring your accountant. It is the fastest way to end up with something that can account for the money it collects.
